Pickart Dental now offers digital x-ray technology with the purchase of a Panorex x-ray machine. The new technology offers top-notch, expert treatment for patients, as well as saving time and money for the practice.

“Today’s patients are concerned about radiation exposure,” Dr. Pickart explains. “Digital radiography reduces that exposure by more than 75 percent. That, combined with enhanced image quality, gives us a better ability to detect disease.”

Over time, fewer images are needed for each patient and bite wings  are no longer required, making the x-ray process more comfortable. These digital scans are easily shared with specialists and need less storage space than traditional x-ray films.

Pickart Dental has been named one of the Top Dentists of 2014 by “M, Milwaukee’s Lifestyle Magazine.” The nomination pool of dentists includes practitioners listed online at the American Dental Association, as well as all dentists listed online with local dental societies, so virtually every dentist was eligible.

The selection process boiled down to one question: “If you had a patient in need of a dentist, which dentist would you refer them to?”

Winners were chosen based on how thousands of dentists answered this question. They were asked to consider experience, continuing education, manner with patients, use of new techniques, and physical results.

Voters were asked to evaluate practitioners whose work they were familiar with. Once voter decisions were finalized, the dentists were also checked against state dental boards for good standing, and the winners announced.
